Another free content drop for Vampire Survivors means more unlockables for you to find. While this drop is centered around the new farm stage, “The Coop,” eagle-eyed players might notice a new secret added to the game’s list of cryptic hints. Here’s what it means and how to unlock it.
How to unlock Space Dette in Vampire Survivors
The new secret character is Space Dette. She’s another space-faring character like Space Dude who has found themselves in the improbable world of Vampire Survivors. The only information you’ll have up front is “Quickly break the bounds of Space and find Love.”
The easiest thing to get from this clue is that we have to go to Space 54. It’s a particularly tight level, in terms of ground you can traverse. It makes sense that you’ll need to break free of those confines to find this secret. Several characters have the ability to do so right off the bat, including:
- Gyoruntin
- Guardian Pina from the Among Us DLC
- Chaos from the Castlevania DLC
Any character can get through a wall if you fill the screen with enough bullets and enemies that it starts causing frame hitches. But if you want to do this quickly, using one of the above characters who can do it by default is probably your best bet.
Once you can transcend the borders of space, you’ll need to start looking for a pillar with a heart on top. Fortunately, despite the maps in this game being very large, this item isn’t far from the start. Head southeast from the starting point ,and you should find it in just a few seconds. The screenshot below shows the exact location to help you out.
Once you collect the heart, you can quit out of the stage. Space Dette will be unlocked and ready to use. She’s incredibly powerful. I would easily argue that she’s one of the best characters in this game. She starts with the fully evolved Photonstorm weapon, which consistently pulls off some of the highest damage in every run. On top of that, her Photonstorm gets stronger every time she levels. On top of that, defeating more and more enemies surrounds her with adoring fans. These little space-ducks and space-bunnies would do anything for her. Anything.
